An Amsterdam wine and champagne festival is urging last-minute buyers to take advantage of a 40% early-bird discount before it expires, with organizers saying the offer ends after 24 hours and tickets will rise from €16.50 to €25.
The event, Fête du Champagne et Vins, is scheduled for May 21 through May 25 in Rembrandtpark, according to a promotional email sent Monday by Juliëtte van Fête du Champagne et Vins. The festival is being marketed as a long Pentecost weekend gathering centered on Champagne, French wines and food, with live music and other activities.
Organizers say the festival will feature more than 100 Champagne and wine selections, along with French classics sold at food stalls. The program also includes live chansons, DJ sets, sabering demonstrations, bingo and quizzes. The email encouraged visitors to bring friends and make plans for the holiday weekend.
The promotion comes as Dutch consumers continue to face higher prices for leisure events and dining out, making discounts a key part of festival marketing. In this case, the early-bird ticket price is being offered as a limited-time incentive for advance sales ahead of the spring holiday period.
The festival will take place in Rembrandtpark, one of Amsterdam’s larger public parks, which has increasingly been used for outdoor cultural and food events during warmer months. Organizers did not say how many attendees they expect over the five-day run.
The email included links for tickets and the festival website, along with an unsubscribe option for recipients who do not want further messages.
