Applications are now open for the 2026 Innovation Awards, a competition tied to VINITECH-SIFEL that is seeking new products and services for the wine, vine and fruit sectors, with entries accepted online through June 19.
The awards are designed to highlight solutions that can help shape the future of the industry, according to the organizers. Winners will receive industry recognition, marketing support and greater visibility among visitors and media at the event. This year’s edition also expands eligibility to start-ups, which can now enter the competition alongside other companies.
Applicants may submit entries in one of four categories, though the organizers did not specify those categories in the announcement sent this week. The competition is open to innovations judged by a panel of experts on originality, usefulness for professionals, technical performance, economic and environmental impact and ergonomics.
The awards program comes after a previous edition that drew 80 submissions. In that round, judges awarded 4 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 11 bronze medals, according to the organizers.
VINITECH-SIFEL said the Innovation Awards are intended to support the evolution of the sector by drawing attention to tools and technologies that can improve production, efficiency and sustainability. The competition is part of a broader effort by trade fairs and industry groups to identify products that can move quickly from development into commercial use.
The application process is available online, and organizers are urging interested companies to register before the June 19 deadline.
